Abenezer was five years old when he traveled alone to SACH from Ethiopia. Abenezer is an affectionate and playful boy. His curiosity is limitless and his smile is infectious.
Abenezer was diagnosed with Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect, known as VSD- a defect resulting from a big hole between the 2 cardiac ventricles (lower chambers of the heart). There is a danger of getting serious life threatening heart infections from a combination of dental caries and VSD. Abenezer had a dental abscess. Before his surgery, Dr. Dib Zebeida donated free dental treatment to this lovely child reducing the risk of a catastrophic infection.
