Chai in Hebrew means life.

The idea couldn't be simpler or more important. By saving a child's life, you save a world.

Anyone can do it, step by step, heartbeat by heartbeat. It starts with the simple act of Creating a Chai for Chai Group. Create one now. It is super easy!

Chai in Hebrew is the numerical equivalent of 18, a number that is said to be imbued with mystical powers to save and promote Life.

Thus we ask that members of a Chai for Chai group make a monthly commitment to donate $18 dollars each month (about sixty cents a day) for 18 months. That's $324 total. All tax deductible for US or Israeli citizens.

The next thing is to seek out 18 more friends or family members who will join you in doing the same. Our invitation system makes it so easy.

Then, the idea is that each of them will also commit to finding at least ONE more person to make a similar monthly commitment. That's what we call "Double-Chai"! In the end you will have a group of 36 righteous people all committed to saving the life of one child. One world!

If everyone "passes it forward," then in no time you will have raised more than enough to save the life of a child who needs a heart repaired.
